It is a pleasure to recommend Burton and Burton Builders to anyone requiring the services of an honest, reliable building company in the Gold Coast area. Late 2009. having looked at 44 properties, we finally found close to our perfect property in Pacific Pines. However, things always need to be changed to individual needs. Steve Burton was recommended to us. We had major internal work done, doors installed in a lot of the open plan area (eg into the study and library areas, doors into walk in wardrobes) , an internal garden became a large walk in pantry and the al- fresco area was integrated under the roof line and incorporated into the internal house area. A patio was added and to finish a large deck 8m x 7m was built to provide a useful entertaining area as the land was very steep and unable to be of use. All this work was organised by Steve Burton. He and his team were very respectful, reliable and honest and always kept to time commitments. The budget was adhered to and there were no additional costs Steve’s customer service (even after completion) was wonderful. We are happy to discuss the abilities of this company.

Steve’s quote was very competitive and his suggestions to make our deck even more functional were great. His workmanship and professionalism were first class. Regarding: Mr Steve Burton I have recently had a range of work completed by Steve Burton. This included a deck on the rear of our property, and a ramp and stairs to the front of the house. I want to recommend Steve’s work to you. In addition to this, I want to recommend Steve in general as a person that you can rely on, and have confidence in, both in regard to his workmanship and his complete professionalism and conduct. I asked for the quote – and was immediately impressed by Steve’s prompt and timely response. His quotation was honest, fair, and it was clear that he was treating me with a rare “customer respect”. I actually went with Steve’s quote without seeking others – clear evidence of my immediate faith in him. I then went overseas for an extended time and my partner dealt with Steve during the building and finishing stages (all too often not an easy thing to do). She found Steve extremely easy to interact with – prompt and professional – he always gave her notice and was on time; his workmanship was of the highest standards, the materials used of the best quality; and his relationship with us quickly grew to something beyond a contractor/employer level. I actually count myself lucky that in my situation I had chosen Steve. I don’t want to dilute this reference by sounding as if I exaggerate – I don’t. I first met Steve Burton in March 2005 through a business colleague and have subsequently developed a close personal rapport. Steve arrived punctually for our initial meeting to give advice and quote for a substantial project involving timber decking. After the usual consultation process with the client providing their ideas, Steve provided excellent input with suggestions and innovations that were readily accepted. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a written quote only hours after consultation well within the agreed timeframe and within my budget!. Subsequently, a magnificent timber deck was constructed over a period of two weeks. During this time, I observed that Steve is a person of considerable character, displaying absolute integrity, honesty and courage at all times. When a problem arose with a neighbours’ unsubstantiated concerns, Steve was quick to alleviate and resolve the issue to the satisfaction of all. Steve has displayed an extremely professional and responsible manner in all business dealings and is well respected by our mutual business associates. In a personal sense, I have found Steve to be trustworthy and good natured person, whose decency of character and ever surfacing good humour quickly transformed him from business associate to personal friend. The holder of this reference, Mr Steve Burton, worked for me as a building supervisor on a project at 104 Kinabalu Eagle Heights, Queensland during 2008. The work consisted of building additional rooms, decking and renovations to a house. He proved to be a very competent builder, taking the work from ‘set out’ stage to the completion of the project.
