Deck and Patio FAQ’s
Can you build Decks /Patios from different materials?
Yes Steve will discuss all your options when he comes to see you and even offer suggestions as to materials you may not have considered if more suited for the project.
Do I need a council approval?
We will let you know at quoting time. If it is necessary we organise everything for you.
Will we need plans?
Again depending on the structure Steve will advise you when he sees you and if need be put you in touch with our draftsman.
Do we need to get insurance for the build?
Only if the cost is over $20000 in which case we will include this in our quote and organise the Compulsory Home Warranty Insurance through QBCC (Queensland Builders Construction Commission.) We would also encourage you to notify your home and contents insurer of the build as they may have stipulated it as necessary in their product disclosure statement.
Are you and all of your trades fully qualified and licensed?
Yes Steve from Burton and Burton Builders is a qualified and licensed carpenter and builder. We carry full insurance. All our trades’ people are fully licenced and insured
Do you do work other than Deck and Patios?
